Rustic Burlap and Roses Wedding Cake!
This trendy, rustic wedding cake was decorated using only delicious, velvety vanilla buttercream frosting, and then adorned with blush roses, deep red roses and white hydrangeas, all handmade petal by petal out of gumpaste. The burlap bow was also handmade especially for this cake, and the custom topper was the finishing touch (topper provided by bride). Flavors on the inside were: bottom tier vanilla with vanilla filling, middle tier chocolate with chocolate filling, top tier carrot cake with cream cheese filling. Also, for this wedding, I made matching cupcakes in five different flavors, and placed them on some very cool tree-branch cupcake stands (built by the customer’s family) for this sweet dessert table!
