All-White Ruffles and Pearls Wedding Cake!
This wedding cake is a little bit vintage and a little bit modern. The ruffles on the bottom tier and draped strands of pearls on the top tier give the cake a romantic, old-fashioned, vintage air, while the quilted tier and the tier with the straight rows of pearls give the cake a more modern quality. The ruffles were made of fondant. The pearls were piped royal icing. The quilted tier is also decorated with edible silver dragees to add a little sparkle. The whole wedding cake was then finished with pearl airbrushing for an overall shimmer and topped with a handmade edible wafer paper rose.
